Missions
“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore GO and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20
Why Do We Go?
As disciples of Jesus, we are called to go out into all nations, cultures, people groups, and contexts to make more disciples of Jesus. We send students on mission around the world to support International Mission Board missionaries on the field, as well as mainland partnerships. In the past, BCM Oʻahu students have gone to Japan, East Africa, Portugal, and the Navajo Nation. BCM students get the opportunity to practice evangelism, aid in emergency disaster relief, host Hawaiian culture events, and so much more as they share the saving grace of Jesus with those around them. Through missions, we seek to love and assist missionaries around the country and the world.
Where Are We Going This Summer?
This summer, we are sending out three mission teams! This is a huge praise because it’s the most teams we’ve sent out in BCM history! We are sending a team to a new ministry partner in the Seattle, Washington, area in June. We are also sending two teams in July to serve with some existing ministry partners in Portugal and Flagstaff, Arizona.
